City Hex builder elaboration

Other games that have share the concept idea:

City Clickers

Description:

This game is primarily a puzzle game with a Cookie clicker element inside of it. There are various mechanics inside of this game that make it interesting with a focus on creating profit, so you can continue to expand the city. This is achieved through balance with positioning amenities in spots where they are most effective and serve the most number of people. This is very difficult balance and therefore this game becomes more of a puzzle game than a builder.

Core Mechanics:

The core mechanic for this game is the Clicking function where the user must click a button to pass days and to create objects.
The other mechanic is the puzzle aspects where each building requires a different amenities around it to function such as wanting to have a neighbour but not wanting to have three as it becomes crowded and this decreases happiness and will mean that you cannot charge them as much money as if it has a low number of amenities than you have to charge less or else no-one will live there and will cost you money whereas having a high number means you can charge more for the same building.

Style:

It is a pixelated almost 16-bit game with a black and white theme with the white changed to a tan colour which makes it feel like you are making a blueprint for the town.

Reward system:

The game rewards you by being able to create something which is the primary reward for the style of game. It also makes you feel like everything is built by you though the cookie clicker mechanic. It feels like everything in the game is yours and feel rewarding through this.

Other mediums:

I could take inspiration from board games with the use of the tiles with each tile having unique properties and look, with the ability to buy expansion packs to get more to place. I could also use the idea in card games with each card having properties that are displaced on the card with them effecting the next card placed like in top trumps. I could also take inspiration from Lego where each piece is unique and everything in the world is make up of little blocks or the game world looks like it fits together like Lego or a puzzle piece.
